Christian fellowship is a central aspect to life at the Moscow Protestant Chaplaincy. We gather to break bread together, share about our lives, and support one another in Christian love. We share food from our home cultures, play games, and celebrate our lives in Christ. Throughout the year MPC holds a variety of fellowship events that brings together our community.
Autumn Thanksgiving Celebration
Each October MPC hosts an autumn Thanksgiving celebration to give thanks to God for the blessings of the past year. We pause for a moment of prayerful reflection. During our conversations with one another we share how we are thankful to God this year. People are invited to bring food from their home country’s Thanksgiving/harvest festivals. We play games and have fun.
Christmas Open House
As we celebrate the birth of the Christ-child in December, Pastor Mike opens his home to the MPC community to share in wonderful Christmas treats, mulled wine and other winter drinks, and beloved Christmas carols. The Christmas Open House is usually held during the first half of December.
Summer Church Picnic
After a long and cold winter, the MPC community gathers in Serebryany Bor for the MPC summer picnic in mid-June. We hold our normal Sunday afternoon service at the picnic site. After our short worship, we share in a feast with summer salads, grilled meats, and tasty berry desserts. We play volleyball and soccer. We enjoy the summer weather. And a few even venture down to the beach for a dip in the river.
Are you new to MPC? Pastor Mike and the MPC Church Council periodically sponsor Welcome Dinners for people new to MPC. The Welcome Dinners are opportunities for new members to learn about MPC, meet church leaders, and be welcomed into our community. Email the MPC administrator to learn when the next Welcome Dinner takes place.
